My Bathroom…My Home.

How much time do you spend in your bathroom(s)?  If you break it down your day starts and ends in the bathroom with visits in between.  Your bathroom needs to be a pleasant place to spend time.  The average American spends between a full two and a half to three days per year just bathing and showering!

Here are some free bathroom remodeling tips –

1.  Be patient.  Special orders will take some time to be delivered
2.  Consider every option before you begin
3.  Make sure that there is plenty of room in your shower for bathing necessities
4.  Slowly remove the old flooring tile so as not to damage the foundation
5.  Curved shower rods save space

There are several other tidbits of knowledge that go into this project.  When you hire a pro to do the job all aspects should be covered.  In the Seattle area, the right choice is Snohomish bathroom remodeling expert Shawn Allen.  Shawn has seen it all in his four decades and his expertise is just what you need.  Call Shawn for a free evaluation today at (425) 367-4744.

Plumbing Tips in the Changing Seattle Weather.

Winter may not be as harsh here as it is in Boise for example, but for your plumbing it may be rough.  It demands your attention as winter approaches.  If you ignore the changing season you could be looking at severe plumbing problems and some big-time expenses!  If you observe the proper winterizing tips you can be prepared for the next 6 months.

Here are some preventative maintenance reminders –

1.  Insulate your pipes.  Freezing pipes can result in gushing water.
2.  Check the foundation of your house.  Is a water leak in your basement a real possibility?
3.  If you have a well as a water source then make sure that your pump hose is checked.
4.  Don’t let your water heater suddenly stop working.  Use age a beginning barometer.

Naturally, there are others.  One way to make sure the job is done completely the first time is to call Shawn Allen.  Folks in the Snohomish, WA area have counted on this master plumber to do ALL of their plumbing maintenance and repairs for well over 3 decades.  That’s right…it starts with a phone call to (425) 367-4744 and have Shawn do all of your plumbing inspection.

Experience vs. Apprentice.

Before you pick up that phone next time think about whom is going to come into your home or business and fix your toilet, your sink, your water heater, your sump pump (NOT IN your home, I hope), etc.  Do you want an experienced veteran or someone who is cutting their teeth working for a large plumbing company?

Perhaps the choice lies in reputation.  Since the apprentice does not have one yet, it reverts to the veteran plumber with years of success in his chosen field.  If that particular plumber did all of the above repairs and has done them since the 1970’s I think I might take a careful look at his website and check him out.

So, do it!  If you live in the Seattle area visit www.plumbersnohomish.com.  Shawn Allen has been doing all of this and more out of Snohomish WA for about 4 decades.  As a master plumber working in the Seattle metro he truly is the last plumber that you will ever need to call.  Next time, pick up the phone and punch in (425) 367-4744.

Sump Pump 101.

What do you need to know about replacing or installing a sump pump?  Luckily, around here the answer is very little!  It really is not rocket science, except that you should buy a new one before the old one conks out.  The right time to buy a new sump pump in the Seattle area is BEFORE the next big storm…not AFTER it.

If your sump pump has given you loyal years of service and has just been worn down by age, the proper decision is probably just to buy a new one of the same model.  A couple of different types are the submersible pump and the pedestal pump.  We don’t expect you to know all of the specifics.  That is why you trust a professional.

Why not call Snohomish, WA sump pump expert Shawn Allen and get those specifics as to the right choice for your Seattle area home.  Shawn has spent the last four decades knee deep in s---.  We don’t recommend that you do that.  We do, however recommend that you call Shawn for a visit to your home at (425) 367-4744.
