Is It Time to Replace Your Sump Pump?

Sorry guys, even though we don’t think about our sump pump like we do our car, our appliances, or our television, eventually it is going to wear out.  How long have you had your sump pump?  If you can’t exactly remember it has probably been for more than a decade.  It really wears out before you notice because it may not be in use for weeks at a time.

Here are some warning signs that your sump pump is on its last legs -

1.  If you have a pedestal pump that is yesterday’s technology and it may be ready to go.
2.  If it is cycling off and on frequently that is not a good sign even in Seattle’s heavy rains.
3.  Listen carefully.  If your pump runs continuously for a long period…bad sign.
4.  Noise…the noisier the pump the worse it may be.

Repairing the sump pump in your home is the job of an experienced pro.  For more than 35 years, residents of the Snohomish, WA area have counted on Shawn Allen.  Shawn is a master plumber who is Snohomish’s sump pump repair professional.  Call Shawn right away.  As always…It starts with a phone call to (425) 367-4744.
